do digital scales “die” too soon?

it seems to me that digital scales just don’t last long enough. i’ve had them in the past and they start ‘acting strangely’ after a year or two of use. is this the case with any scale, or only digital? i prefer digital, as it is easier for me to read, but i don’t want to have to buy new scales every couple of years. has anyone else had problems with digital scales? any suggestions on a good, accurate scale that goes the distance? how long should a good scale last (when used daily)?

I’ve had no problems, id suggest to you buy a good, expensive one that will last your lifetime instead of buying a cheap one every couple of years (the really good ones are also more accurate) hope that helps
