Empty Cups

Have 2- 20oz cups of H2O and empty 8oz and 14oz cup. In only 6 steps, end up w/exactly 6oz water in 2 sm cups?

Cannot spill any H20, no estimation or other tools
You all are great and I appreciate your help! I have to use 6 steps exactly and I cannot discard any H20. The 2 larger cups have to end with 14oz each and the smaller ones with 6oz each. Can you please help??

1. Fill 20 oz cup
2. Pour into the 14 oz cup until it is full. You have 6 oz left in the 20 oz cup.
3. Pour water from 14 oz cup into 8 oz cup until it is full. You now have 6 oz in the 20 oz cup, 6 oz in the 14 oz cup, and the 8 oz cup is full.
4. Empty 8 oz cup
5. Pour the 6 oz from the 20 oz cup into the 8 oz cup. Now the 8 oz and the 14 oz cup each have 6 oz.

If it is demanded that it be exactly 6 steps, add step 1b. Pour water from 20 oz cup into other 20 oz cup. Then you will have 6 steps.
