How to bring light blue, white, and purple into a room?
Sorry for asking another question, but I need suggestions. =)
So if you read my previous question, the carpetting is light blue with white speckled throughout (mostly blue), and I want an accent wall of deep plum purple, and a (maybe) lavender-ish color for the rest of the walls. I also would like white furniture. And the bedding to be a combination of both the lavender and plum colors from the walls.
Can you give me suggestions on how to bring all of these colors together? Like where to have blue, white, purple? (i.e. blue and white picture frames…) Thanks!
Although an accent wall is cool I think with the different colors in the carpet may be to much. Anyway, start off with my favorite…pillows! Big lots, IKEA, delias.com, target, they all have awesome pillows for a low price,. Get some in all those colors! all you really need are some curtains, I would use white, also try the mesh sorta crinkly ones from pbteen.com. Using black and white also ties colors together. Try going on poster.com or allposters.com and searching for things that you like in black and white. Then all you need is a simple frame. Tie it all off by getting some cool lamps or splatter painting your closet door with purple and blue!

When decorating your garden with blue flowers, you can add a rich touch of color to your garden. Plant them in a cluster of all blue or in combination with other flowers in a rainbow of colors.
The important thing when planting flowers is to follow the instructions on the label of the plant. Always buy plants that thrive in the conditions under which it intends to make them grow. A plant that loves sun will not do well in a shady area and just be disappointed with the results.
You should be aware of the flowering season of flowers when planning the garden. Planting perennials with different bloom times near each the other will ensure a garden that blooms throughout the season. Remember also to plan for the plant height, placing the highest being in the back.
Below is a list of favorite blue flowering plants that you might want to consider for your garden:
1. Ajuga, Bronze Beauty – This plant has short dense spikes of blue flowers that grows quickly. Great as a ground cover or in raised beds. Flowers in spring and prefers a shady area.
2. Blue Sea Holly – This dramatic plant has a lavender blue cone like flower petals with long nails. Grows to 30 "and is a favorite for dried flower arrangements. Plant in full sun – flowers in mid to late summer.
3. Campanula, Blue Carpet – Bright blue flowers of lilac bloom for weeks in midsummer. This low growth perennial grows to 4 "and prefers full sun, well drained soil.
4. Delphinium, Butterfly Blue – Bright blue flowers adorn this delicate plant that blooms in early or mid-summer. Reaches 10 "tall and prefers a sunny spot with rich moist soil.
5. Hydrangea, Nikko Blue – Gigantic groups of blue flowers adorn this shrub for most of the summer. In autumn, the flowers turn the color gold. This plant is a new variety that prefers rich soil but will grow in shade partial sun or full sun.
6. Penstemon, Blue Buckle – This plant has tubular shaped flowers blue to purple flowers from mid summer to autumn. Grows to 15 "and likes well-drained soil in full sun or partial.
7. Polemonuim, Blue Pearl – A compact plant with deep blue sky flowers growing to 10 ". Flowers late spring to early summer. Plant in partial shade and well drained soil.
8. Scabiosa, Butterfly – A bushy perennial with lavender blue flowers that bloom June to October. This plant likes full sun and attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.
9. Verbena, Babylon Blue – Blue purple flowers petals adorn this plant blooming in spring. Ideal for window boxes and pots.
10. Vinca – Medium blue flowers and glossy green leaves form a carpet that grows about 6 "tall and blooms mid spring. This plant grows in most soil conditions in the shade or sun.
