To all of you who love to spend time outdoors in the summer: Do you have a mosquito magnet in your yard?

Have you tried one. I have one which is suppose to keep you mosquito free up to a half an acre. We love entertaining outdoors and have an outdoor movie set up for evening entertaining (the time when pesky mosquitos begin their attack). My lawn is pretty open, almost looks like a golf course but still I can’t prevent the bugs. Any suggestions? What do you do?

I have worked in a landscape that had a Mosquito Magnet. I thought it made a big difference. They make more sense than buglights because they have things that specifically attract mosquitoes. There are other companies that make them now so you might want to compare the different brands.
I would suggest trying more than one thing for the best control. You might want to start with something less expensive and see how well it works. There are a few organic options below. I have tried Mosquito Dunks which are very helpful if you have a birdpath, pond, and or dog water dish. I plant to try the mosquito trap this year and see how it works.
